AC Milan coach Paulo Fonseca admitted his team played it safe as they drew 0-0 at home to Juventus in Serie A on Saturday and understood the fans’ boos after the game.
The Rossoneri fans were booing their team’s performance at the San Siro, with the best chance of the game coming in stoppage time when Theo Hernandez’s header was saved by Michele Di Gregorio.
“It’s normal that when we don’t win, there will be boos,” Fonseca said after the game. “If I was a fan, I know it’s not good to go to the stadium and see a game like this. I understand the fans’ feelings about this.”
“I think both teams are tactically minded. We have a lot of respect for Juventus. The chances we got were only quick attacks. We didn’t take risks or make the wrong decisions.”
“It’s not easy to play against them, but in situations we can create something. We missed the ball and made the wrong decisions. I think we did well in defence, don’t forget Juve scored four goals here a few weeks ago against Inter.”
Does Fonseca genuinely still Register ufabet believe he can win the Scudetto at Milan this season?
“I know other people think it is unlikely, but I continue to believe. There are so many more games to go, so many points up for grabs, anything can happen.”
