Juventus manager Thiago Motta admitted his side were not at their best after drawing 0-0 at AC Milan in Serie A on Saturday.
The ‘Zebras’ have problems up front with both Dusan Vlahovic and Arkadiusz Milik injured, forcing them to use Teun Kopmeiners as a ‘false nine’ with Weston McKennie helping out. Motta was happy with the draw, saying it was a valuable point.
“I am happy with the performance, we defended well and gave almost no chances to the opponent,” Motta told DAZN. “Obviously we didn’t create many chances in attack, but there were situations where we could have done better with Conceicao and Cambiaso cutting the line.”
“Overall I think it’s a valuable point and I’m proud of all the players for doing well given the situation we’re in.”
For their next game, Juventus will travel to Aston Villa in the UEFA Champions League before visiting Lecce in Serie A next week.
This means Juventus remain ยูฟ่าเบท unbeaten in Serie A this season and register another clean sheet. But they have now drawn seven of their 13 games and are three points worse off than last season.
“It is inevitable people will make comparisons to last season, but also impossible because so much has changed,” continued Thiago Motta.
“We should be pleased with what we have done so far, but we’re not even halfway through the campaign. Now we need to keep going and improve many elements, knowing we’ve been on the right path for a while.”
